Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit Low Bank 2
Puedes seguir conduciendo con precaución
Descripción
This code indicates that the engine computer is seeing a voltage signal from the second intake air temperature sensor on bank 2 that is too low. This could mean the sensor is faulty or there's a problem with its wiring.
Causas comunes
- Faulty intake air temperature sensor 2
- Wiring short to ground
- Loose electrical connection
- Problem with the engine control module (ECM)
Síntomas
- Check Engine Light is on
- Engine may run rich (too much fuel)
- Poor acceleration
- Increased fuel consumption
Pasos de reparación
- 1 Inspect the electrical connector at the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor 2 on bank 2 for looseness, corrosion, or damage, and reseat it securely.
- 2 Check the wiring harness between the IAT sensor 2 and the ECM for chafing, exposed wires, or shorts to ground, and repair as needed.
- 3 Measure the voltage and resistance at the IAT sensor 2 connector using a multimeter to verify the sensor is reading within specification for the current ambient temperature.
- 4 Replace the intake air temperature sensor 2 on bank 2 if readings are out of range or the sensor is found to be faulty.
- 5 Clear the diagnostic trouble code and test drive the vehicle to confirm the issue is resolved.
- 6 If the code returns after sensor and wiring repairs, have the engine control module (ECM) inspected and tested by a professional for internal faults.
