Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit High Bank 2
Puedes seguir conduciendo con precaución
Descripción
This code means the engine computer has detected a voltage signal from the second intake air temperature sensor on bank 2 that is too high. This usually points to an issue with the sensor itself or its electrical connections.
Causas comunes
- Faulty intake air temperature sensor 2
- Wiring short to voltage
- Loose electrical connection
- Problem with the engine control module (ECM)
Síntomas
- Check Engine Light is on
- Engine may run lean (too little fuel)
- Hesitation during acceleration
- Reduced engine performance
Pasos de reparación
- 1 Inspect the electrical connector at the intake air temperature sensor 2 on bank 2 for looseness, corrosion, or damage, and reseat the connection firmly.
- 2 Check the wiring harness leading to the IAT sensor 2 for signs of chafing, exposed wires, or a short to voltage from contact with other wiring or metal components.
- 3 Test the intake air temperature sensor 2 resistance with a multimeter and compare readings to manufacturer specifications to confirm the sensor is functioning correctly.
- 4 Repair or replace any damaged wiring or connectors found in the IAT sensor 2 circuit to eliminate shorts to voltage.
- 5 Replace the faulty intake air temperature sensor 2 on bank 2 if resistance readings are out of specification.
- 6 Have the engine control module (ECM) tested by a professional if all wiring and sensor checks pass, as an internal ECM fault may be causing the high circuit reading.
