Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High Bank 2
Puedes seguir conduciendo con precaución
Descripción
This code means the engine computer has detected a voltage signal from the first intake air temperature sensor on bank 2 that is too high. This usually points to an issue with the sensor itself or its electrical connections.
Causas comunes
- Faulty intake air temperature sensor 1
- Wiring short to voltage
- Loose electrical connection
- Problem with the engine control module (ECM)
Síntomas
- Check Engine Light is on
- Engine may run lean (too little fuel)
- Hesitation during acceleration
- Reduced engine performance
Pasos de reparación
- 1 Inspect the electrical connector at the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor 1 on bank 2 for looseness, corrosion, or damaged pins, and reseat the connection.
- 2 Check the wiring harness between the IAT sensor 1 and the ECM for chafing, bare wires, or shorts to voltage (power) sources, and repair any damaged wiring.
- 3 Measure the IAT sensor 1 resistance with a multimeter at various temperatures to verify it matches manufacturer specifications; replace the sensor if readings are out of range.
- 4 Replace the intake air temperature sensor 1 on bank 2 if testing confirms it is faulty.
- 5 Clear the diagnostic trouble codes and test drive the vehicle to verify the repair and ensure the code does not return.
- 6 If all wiring and sensor tests pass, have the engine control module (ECM) inspected and tested by a professional for internal faults, and replace if necessary.
