Fuel Pressure Relief Control Circuit/Open
No conducir — requiere atención inmediata
Descripción
This code indicates an open circuit in the control system for the fuel pressure relief valve. This valve is responsible for releasing excess fuel pressure, and if it's not working, fuel pressure can become unstable.
Causas comunes
- Faulty fuel pressure relief control solenoid
- Wiring issue to the fuel pressure relief control solenoid
- Problem with the engine control module (ECM)
- Blown fuse related to the fuel system
- Loose electrical connector
Síntomas
- Check Engine Light is on
- Engine performance issues (stalling, rough idle)
- Reduced engine power
- Difficulty starting the engine
Pasos de reparación
- 1 Check for blown fuses related to the fuel system and replace any that are faulty.
- 2 Inspect the electrical connector at the fuel pressure relief control solenoid for looseness, corrosion, or damage, and reseat or clean as needed.
- 3 Inspect the wiring harness between the ECM and the fuel pressure relief control solenoid for chafing, breaks, or shorts, and repair any damaged wiring.
- 4 Test the fuel pressure relief control solenoid circuit for proper voltage and ground signals using a multimeter.
- 5 Replace the fuel pressure relief control solenoid if testing confirms it is faulty or has an open circuit.
- 6 Have the engine control module (ECM) inspected and reprogrammed or replaced if all other components test normal.
