Puedes seguir conduciendo con precaución
Descripción
This code indicates a general problem with the oxygen sensor circuit for Bank 2. This could be an issue with the sensor itself, its wiring, or the engine computer's connection to it.
Causas comunes
- Faulty oxygen sensor (Bank 2)
- Damaged wiring to the oxygen sensor
- Loose or corroded connector
- Exhaust leak
- Faulty PCM
Síntomas
- Check Engine Light is on
- Rough idling
- Reduced fuel economy
- Increased emissions
Pasos de reparación
- 1 Inspect the oxygen sensor connector on Bank 2, Sensor 1 for looseness, corrosion, or damage, and clean or reseat as needed.
- 2 Check the wiring harness leading to the Bank 2 oxygen sensor for fraying, chafing, melting, or broken wires, and repair any damage found.
- 3 Inspect the exhaust system near the Bank 2 area for leaks at gaskets, manifold connections, or cracked pipes, and repair any leaks.
- 4 Test the Bank 2 oxygen sensor signal and heater circuit voltage using a multimeter or scan tool to confirm sensor operation.
- 5 Replace the faulty Bank 2, Sensor 1 oxygen sensor if readings are out of specification or the sensor is unresponsive.
- 6 Have a professional diagnose and test the PCM if the issue persists after replacing the oxygen sensor and verifying wiring integrity.
