O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage
Puedes seguir conduciendo con precaución
Descripción
This code means the oxygen sensor in your exhaust is sending a signal that's too high. This sensor helps your car's computer figure out how much fuel to use, so a bad signal can mess up the fuel mixture.
Causas comunes
- Faulty oxygen sensor
- Wiring issue to the oxygen sensor
- Exhaust leak before the oxygen sensor
- Problem with the engine control module (ECM)
Síntomas
- Check Engine Light is on
- Reduced fuel economy
- Rough idling
- Engine misfires
Pasos de reparación
- 1 Check the O2 sensor wiring harness and connector for damage, corrosion, or loose connections and repair as needed.
- 2 Inspect the exhaust system for leaks before the O2 sensor location (Bank 2, Sensor 1) and repair any leaks found.
- 3 Test the O2 sensor voltage output using a multimeter or scan tool to verify it is stuck high (above 0.9V) rather than cycling normally.
- 4 Check for related trouble codes that may indicate a rich fuel condition causing the high voltage reading.
- 5 Replace the Bank 2, Sensor 1 oxygen sensor if it is confirmed faulty or stuck at high voltage.
- 6 Inspect the O2 sensor wiring for shorts to voltage, particularly where the harness runs near hot exhaust components.
- 7 Have the engine control module (ECM) tested and reprogrammed or replaced if all other causes have been ruled out.
