Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit High
Puedes seguir conduciendo con precaución
Descripción
This code means the second Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is sending a signal that is too high. This usually points to a problem with the sensor or its wiring.
Causas comunes
- Faulty Intake Air Temperature sensor 2
- Wiring issue to the IAT sensor 2 (short to voltage)
- Loose electrical connector at the IAT sensor 2
- Problem with the engine control module (ECM)
Síntomas
- Check Engine Light is on
- Engine may run lean (too little fuel)
- Reduced engine power
- Hesitation during acceleration
Pasos de reparación
- 1 Inspect the electrical connector at the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor 2 for looseness, corrosion, or damage, and reseat it firmly.
- 2 Check the wiring harness leading to the IAT sensor 2 for signs of damage, chafing, or a short to voltage, and repair as needed.
- 3 Test the IAT sensor 2 circuit with a multimeter to verify the signal voltage is within the manufacturer's specified range; a high voltage reading confirms the circuit issue.
- 4 Replace the Intake Air Temperature sensor 2 if the sensor is found to be faulty or readings are out of specification.
- 5 Inspect and test the ECM ground and reference voltage circuits to the IAT sensor 2 to rule out a power supply issue.
- 6 If all wiring and the sensor test normal, have the Engine Control Module (ECM) professionally diagnosed and replaced if confirmed defective.
