O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
Puedes seguir conduciendo con precaución
Descripción
This code means the oxygen sensor in your exhaust is sending a signal that's too low. This sensor helps your car's computer figure out how much fuel to use, and a low signal can lead to the engine getting too much fuel.
Causas comunes
- Faulty oxygen sensor
- Wiring issue to the oxygen sensor
- Exhaust leak
- Problem with the engine control module (ECM)
Síntomas
- Check Engine Light is on
- Reduced fuel economy
- Engine may run rich (too much fuel)
- Black smoke from exhaust
Pasos de reparación
- 1 Inspect the wiring and connector to the Bank 2 Sensor 2 oxygen sensor for damage, corrosion, or loose connections and repair as needed.
- 2 Check for exhaust leaks near the catalytic converter and downstream O2 sensor area, and repair any leaks found.
- 3 Measure the O2 sensor voltage output using a multimeter or scan tool to confirm the sensor is stuck at low voltage.
- 4 Test the O2 sensor heater circuit and ground wire for proper continuity and voltage supply.
- 5 Replace the Bank 2 Sensor 2 (downstream) oxygen sensor if it is confirmed faulty.
- 6 Clear the code and test drive the vehicle to verify the repair holds.
- 7 Have the engine control module (ECM) inspected and tested by a professional if the issue persists after all other repairs.
