Mass or Volume Air Flow Sensor B Circuit Low
Puedes seguir conduciendo con precaución
Descripción
This code means the 'B' Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is reporting a signal that is too low. The engine computer is not receiving enough information about the incoming air.
Causas comunes
- Dirty or faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
- Wiring issue to the MAF sensor
- Vacuum leak
- Clogged air filter
- Problem with the Engine Control Module (ECM)
Síntomas
- Check Engine light is on
- Rough idling
- Poor acceleration
- Engine may not start
- Reduced fuel economy
Pasos de reparación
- 1 Check and replace the air filter if it is dirty or clogged, as restricted airflow can cause low MAF sensor readings.
- 2 Inspect the MAF sensor for dirt or debris buildup and clean it using a dedicated MAF sensor cleaner spray.
- 3 Check for vacuum leaks by inspecting all intake hoses, clamps, and connections between the air filter box and the throttle body for cracks or loose fittings.
- 4 Inspect the wiring harness and electrical connector at the MAF sensor B for damage, corrosion, loose pins, or broken wires, and repair as needed.
- 5 Test the MAF sensor B circuit voltage and ground signals using a multimeter to verify the sensor is receiving proper power and producing correct output.
- 6 Replace the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor if cleaning and wiring checks do not resolve the issue.
- 7 Have the Engine Control Module (ECM) tested and reprogrammed or replaced by a professional if all other causes have been ruled out.
