Mass or Volume Air Flow Sensor B Circuit High
Puedes seguir conduciendo con precaución
Descripción
This code indicates that the 'B' Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor is reporting a signal that is too high. The engine computer is receiving too much information about the incoming air.
Causas comunes
- Dirty or faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor
- Wiring issue to the MAF sensor
- Air intake restriction
- Problem with the Engine Control Module (ECM)
Síntomas
- Check Engine light is on
- Rough idling
- Poor acceleration
- Engine may run rich (too much fuel)
- Reduced fuel economy
Pasos de reparación
- 1 Inspect the air intake system for restrictions, clogged air filter, or debris blocking airflow and replace the air filter if dirty.
- 2 Clean the MAF sensor B using a dedicated MAF sensor cleaner spray — do not touch the sensor element with anything else.
- 3 Inspect the MAF sensor B wiring harness and electrical connector for damage, corrosion, loose pins, or disconnected wires and repair as needed.
- 4 Check for vacuum leaks or cracked intake ducts between the MAF sensor and the throttle body and replace any damaged components.
- 5 Test the MAF sensor B signal voltage and frequency using a multimeter or scan tool to verify it is reading within manufacturer specifications.
- 6 Replace the MAF sensor B if readings are out of range or cleaning did not resolve the issue.
- 7 Inspect and test the ECM for proper operation if all other components check out — replace or reprogram the ECM if confirmed faulty.
