O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
Puedes seguir conduciendo con precaución
Descripción
This code means the oxygen (O2) sensor is reporting a voltage reading that is too low. This could indicate a problem with the sensor itself or an issue causing the engine to run lean (too much air, not enough fuel).
Causas comunes
- Faulty oxygen (O2) sensor
- Vacuum leak in the intake system
- Exhaust leak before or near the O2 sensor
- Low fuel pressure
- Wiring issue to the O2 sensor
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)
Síntomas
- Check Engine Light is on
- Poor fuel economy
- Engine may run rough or hesitate
- Failed emissions test
Pasos de reparación
- 1 Check for vacuum leaks in the intake system by visually inspecting hoses, gaskets, and connections for cracks or disconnections.
- 2 Inspect the O2 sensor wiring and connector for damage, corrosion, loose pins, or frayed wires, and repair as needed.
- 3 Inspect the exhaust system for leaks before or near the O2 sensor, paying close attention to exhaust manifold gaskets and pipe connections.
- 4 Check fuel pressure using a fuel pressure gauge to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications; a weak fuel pump or clogged filter can cause low voltage readings.
- 5 Replace the upstream (Bank 1, Sensor 1) oxygen sensor if wiring and vacuum/exhaust leaks have been ruled out.
- 6 Repair or replace any damaged exhaust components causing leaks near the O2 sensor location.
- 7 Have the Engine Control Module (ECM) tested by a professional if all other causes have been eliminated.
