O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage
Puedes seguir conduciendo con precaución
Descripción
This code indicates that the oxygen (O2) sensor is reporting a voltage reading that is too high. This could mean the sensor is faulty or the engine is running too rich (too much fuel, not enough air).
Causas comunes
- Faulty oxygen (O2) sensor
- Fuel injector leaking or stuck open
- Faulty Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor
- Wiring issue to the O2 sensor
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)
Síntomas
- Check Engine Light is on
- Increased fuel consumption
- Black smoke from the exhaust
- Failed emissions test
- Engine may run rough
Pasos de reparación
- 1 Check the O2 sensor wiring and connector for damage, corrosion, or loose connections and repair as needed.
- 2 Inspect the O2 sensor for contamination (oil, coolant, or carbon buildup) and clean or replace if fouled.
- 3 Check for vacuum leaks or exhaust leaks near the O2 sensor that could cause false readings.
- 4 Inspect and clean the Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor using MAF-specific cleaner, as a dirty MAF can cause incorrect fuel trim readings.
- 5 Replace the upstream O2 sensor (Bank 1, Sensor 1) if it is reading consistently high voltage (above 0.9V) and not responding properly.
- 6 Inspect fuel injectors for leaking or sticking open conditions and replace any faulty injectors.
- 7 Replace the Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor if cleaning does not resolve the issue and readings are out of specification.
- 8 Have the Engine Control Module (ECM) tested and reprogrammed or replaced by a professional if all other causes have been ruled out.
