O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected

Powertrain · Alimentación de combustible y aire

Puedes seguir conduciendo con precaución

Descripción

This code means your car's computer isn't detecting any activity from one of the oxygen sensors. This sensor's job is to measure the amount of oxygen in your exhaust to help the engine run efficiently.

Causas comunes

  • Faulty oxygen sensor
  • Wiring issue to the oxygen sensor
  • Exhaust leak before or near the oxygen sensor
  • Problem with the engine control module (ECM)
  • Contaminated oxygen sensor

Síntomas

  • Check Engine Light is on
  • Reduced fuel economy
  • Rough idling
  • Increased emissions

Pasos de reparación

  1. 1 Check the wiring and electrical connector to the Bank 1 Sensor 1 oxygen sensor for damage, corrosion, or loose connections and repair as needed.
  2. 2 Inspect the exhaust system for leaks before or near the oxygen sensor, paying close attention to exhaust manifold gaskets and pipe connections.
  3. 3 Check for related trouble codes that may point to a vacuum leak or fuel system issue affecting the O2 sensor reading.
  4. 4 Inspect the oxygen sensor for contamination from oil, coolant, or excessive carbon buildup and clean or replace if contaminated.
  5. 5 Replace the Bank 1 Sensor 1 (upstream) oxygen sensor if it is not producing a voltage signal or switching properly.
  6. 6 Test the O2 sensor heater circuit with a multimeter to verify proper voltage and ground are reaching the sensor.
  7. 7 Have the engine control module (ECM) inspected and tested by a professional if all other causes have been ruled out.
