Respuesta lenta del circuito del sensor de O2
Puedes seguir conduciendo con precaución
Descripción
This code means the oxygen (O2) sensor is responding too slowly to changes in the air-fuel mixture. The engine's computer expects faster reactions from the sensor to properly adjust fuel delivery.
Causas comunes
- Faulty oxygen (O2) sensor
- Exhaust leak before or near the O2 sensor
- Vacuum leak in the intake system
- Contaminated O2 sensor (e.g., by fuel additives or oil)
- Wiring issue to the O2 sensor
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)
Síntomas
- Check Engine Light is on
- Reduced fuel economy
- Poor engine performance
- Failed emissions test
Pasos de reparación
- 1 Check for vacuum leaks in the intake system by inspecting hoses, gaskets, and connections for cracks or loose fittings.
- 2 Inspect the O2 sensor wiring and connector for damage, corrosion, loose pins, or frayed wires, and repair as needed.
- 3 Inspect the exhaust system for leaks before or near the Bank 1 Sensor 1 O2 sensor, paying attention to exhaust manifold gaskets and pipe connections.
- 4 Check the O2 sensor for contamination (oily residue or white/chalky deposits) caused by oil burning or fuel additives.
- 5 Replace the Bank 1 Sensor 1 (upstream) oxygen sensor if it is slow to respond, contaminated, or has exceeded its service life.
- 6 Repair any exhaust leaks found near the O2 sensor, including replacing exhaust manifold gaskets or tightening connections.
- 7 Have the Engine Control Module (ECM) tested by a professional if all other causes have been ruled out.
