O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
Puedes seguir conduciendo con precaución
Descripción
This code means the oxygen sensor is sending a voltage signal that is too low. This usually indicates the sensor is not detecting enough oxygen, which can affect how the engine mixes fuel and air.
Causas comunes
- Faulty oxygen sensor
- Wiring issue to the oxygen sensor
- Exhaust leak
- Problem with the engine control module (ECM)
- Engine running too rich (too much fuel)
Síntomas
- Check Engine Light is on
- Reduced fuel economy
- Increased emissions
- Rough idling
Pasos de reparación
- 1 Check for exhaust leaks near the oxygen sensor location, as even small leaks can cause false low voltage readings.
- 2 Inspect the wiring and connector to the Bank 1 Sensor 2 oxygen sensor for damage, corrosion, or loose connections.
- 3 Check for rich running conditions by inspecting for a dirty air filter, leaking fuel injectors, or a faulty fuel pressure regulator.
- 4 Test the oxygen sensor voltage output using a multimeter or scan tool to confirm it is stuck at a low voltage (below 0.2V).
- 5 Replace the Bank 1 Sensor 2 (downstream) oxygen sensor if testing confirms it is faulty.
- 6 Repair or replace any damaged wiring or connectors in the oxygen sensor circuit.
- 7 Have the engine control module (ECM) inspected and tested by a professional if all other causes have been ruled out.
